The Old Waverley is a traditional-style hotel boasting a prime location on Princes Street, overlooking the Castle and public gardens, ideal for sightseeing and shopping. The guest rooms are elegant and traditional in style, equipped with standard facilities. Although there is a huge range of restaurants in the vicinity, the hotel's own dining room - with its oak wood fittings, cornicing and white pillars - has been notably popular with guests for breakfast and dinner. ** Please note this is a non smoking hotel. **

Hotel Facilities:

Lifts ... Please note the lift only takes guests from the lobby to the guestrooms. There is a flight of stairs from street level to the lobby itself.

Restaurant is lovely and service is good... We enjoyed dining in the restaurant at the Old Waverley... Good food served in bar at midday ... enjoyed a good evening meal in the hotel restaurant... We had a meal in the hotel's restaurant the first night and spent way too much on cold, unsatisfying food ... evening kitchen was disappointing ... bar area lacked atmosphere & could be modernised slightly ... food was very limited ... Evening meal o.k. ... The bar was expensive... there is no lift from the ground floor to Reception ... In house menu did not change from night to night ... the dinners could do with more of a veriety on the menu ... room service was excellent ... meals well presented and good choice ... Dined in the resturant in hotel...
